Here is Matt Dossett's interview with Seibert:

Where did you play your high school baseball? What classification were you?

I played at Fuquay Varina High School, which was classified as 4A. It's about 20 minutes south of Raleigh, North Carolina.

Prior to picking Charleston Southern, what programs were you looking at while in high school?

I actually went to Pitt Community College out of high school, and then from there I went to CSU. At Pitt Community College, I only had two school interested and it was Barton College and CSU.

What position do you expect to play at MT?

I am a left-handed pitcher.

Do you have a secondary position you can play?

I don't.

What attracted you to Charleston Southern at the time?

After my two years expired at Pitt Community College, I was actually ready to hang my cleats up. I didn’t have the best two years and my arm was not feeling the best. That all changed when George Schaefer, the pitching coach at the time, recruited me to Charleston Southern. He scouted me during summer baseball—playing American Legion. My arm felt good, and I had a very strong summer. He told me not to hang them up until I have to, and I agreed.

Where you considering MT at the time coming out of high school?

I was not.

How was your experience at Charleston Southern?

I loved CSU. I met classmates, faculty, and roommates that will remain life-long friends. I had the opportunity to come in as a Junior and prove my worth. George Schaefer and CJ Appenzeller played a huge role in my development as a pitcher. I truly believe the opportunity at MT would not have happened without them. Also, living in Charleston for two years was an absolute blast!

Were you satisfied with your performance there?

Yes! This was the first year I felt healthy and On! The most memorable moment had to be our 1-0 win over Kansas where I came in to pitch the last two innings to get my first collegiate save. Because of that performance, I was recognized by all the league’s coaches as “Relief Pitcher of the Week” for the Big South Conference.

At what point in time did you want to transfer?

When I graduated. I finished with an accounting degree and wanted to pursue a Master of Accountancy. CSU did not offer this and that was the main reason for transferring.

Besides MT, what other programs were you looking at for your transfer?

I was looking at University of North Carolina at Greensboro, George Mason University and Liberty University.

Which coaches recruited you to MT?

Coach Blake Hunt was the first coach to reach out to me at MT. I talked with him the most during the entire process. We just clicked from the first call, he asked the right questions and listened.

What did you like about the coaching staff?

What I liked the most about the coaching staff at MT was their experience and passion for the game of baseball. I also like to hunt and fish which the coaching staff at MT likes to do too.

What do you intend to study at MT?

I am pursuing the Master of Accountancy program with plans to sit for the CPA exam.

If you had a walkup song, what would it be?

I am going to stick to the one I had at CSU for the time being which was “No Good” by Kaleo.
