In Thomas, the Blue Raiders get a versatile big man who can play the 3 or the 4 position on the floor. At 6-foot-8, Thomas has the length to be a steady post presence for MT, but he also possesses a decent mid-range jumper and has great athleticism, which could lead to him seeing some time at the 3 position.

Known as a high flyer, Thomas' highlight reels are filled with emphatic dunks and flashy put-backs, and it doesn't take long to notice the pure athleticism and high-motor that the big man possesses.

On the recruiting trail, Thomas held early offers from MT, Rhode Island and Alcorn State, but Thomas was also receiving interest from several other programs, including Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Southern and Georgia Tech.

The senior has been a four-year starter for Northside High, and is currently enjoying his best campaign to date, averaging 15.3 PPG, 8.3 RPG & 4.3 BPG so far this season. Thomas finished his junior year averaging 12.9 PPG, 7.3 RPG & 2.4 BPG.
