Prospect Spotlight: Malachi Madison

It is cliche, but a successful football team is very reliant on the play in the trenches. The Middle Tennessee State program is hitting the ground running on the recruiting trail. The staff has been rejuvenated by newcomers, offensive coordinator Brent Dearmon, and wideouts coach, Brent Stockstill.

On February 22, the staff extended an offer to three-star Peach State lineman, Malachi Madison.

Coach Kenneth Gilstrap is spearheading Madison's recruitment. Make no bones about it, there are other suitors shooting their shot to land Madison. It says something about the confidence of MT's staff that they are willing to slug it out with many quality programs. Let's just start with his February offers. In the month of February, Madison has been offered by MT, Virginia Tech, Appalachian State, West Virginia, Umass, UCONN, Arkansas State, WKU, Troy, Minnesota, Coastal Carolina, ECU, Howard, and Penn State.

His other offers in 2021 are from: Mississippi State, Iowa State, Georgia State, FAU, and Eastern Michigan.

He has also been offered by the likes of: Kent State, Colorado, and FIU.

Madison brings versatility to the table. He can play inside or outside on the defensive line. Madison is around 6'3 and 290 pounds currently.

Again, it seems as if the staff has the moxie and confidence to mix it up with other quality teams vying for Madison's services.
