MT jumps to early lead, holds on late

MURFREESBORO, Tenn.(AP) Joe Craddock passed for 216 yards and a touchdown to lead Middle Tennessee to a 24-21 victory over Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday.

Craddock led the Blue Raiders (3-6, 2-3 Sun Belt Conference) on a 76-yard touchdown drive to open the game, capping it on a 15-yard pass to Eldred King.
Backup quarterback Dwight Dasher threw a 13-yard touchdown to Patrick Honeycutt with 2:11 remaining in the first quarter to give Middle Tennessee a 14-0 lead.
Kinsmon Lancaster, who was suspended for the first quarter for a violation of team rules, threw a pair of touchdowns for the Warhawks (2-7, 1-4). He completed 16-of-25 passes for 202 yards with an interception and ran for 126 yards.
Frank Goodin, who rushed for 88 yards, scored on a 15-yard run with 4:59 remaining in the first half to cut the lead to 17-7.
Louisiana-Monroe cut the lead to 17-14 with 4:33 left in the third quarter on Lancaster's 18-yard pass to Anthony McCall.
Phillip Tanner's 7-yard touchdown run with 11:55 remaining pushed Middle Tennessee's advantage to 24-14.
Lancaster led the Warhawks on a 72-yard scoring drive, capped by his 17-yard touchdown pass to Zeek Zacharie.
The Warhawks missed three field goals, including two from inside 40 yards.
