JaMichael Thompson Commits to MTSU

Entering this weekend, Middle Tennessee State had six known commitments in the fold.

In the Rivals.com team rankings, the Blue Raiders were 100th in America. Still, though, there is plenty of time for the Blue Raiders to make up ground and gain momentum on the recruiting trail.

On Saturday, MT took a step forward, getting a commitment from wide receiver JaMichael Thompson.

Thompson is now the second wide receiver commit for the MT 2020 class. The other guy is speedster Zoe Roberts.

The day after he received his offer from Middle Tennessee State, Thompson was offered by the Arkansas State Red Wolves.

His other June offers were from the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers and the Troy Trojans.

Both of those teams offered Thompson on June 8.

Thompson's other 2019 offers are from: North Alabama, Wofford, Navy, Tennessee State, Alabama A & M, Georgia Southern, Jacksonville State, Murray State, UTC and Eastern Kentucky.

Believe it or not, there are more.

His other offers are from the likes of: UT-Martin, Tennessee Tech, Tulane and South Alabama.

Ultimately though, Thompson opted to pull the trigger and pledge his commitment to MT.

At this juncture, Thompson's profile seems to be reasonably accurate when it comes to his height and weight. He hovers around 6'2 and his weight is in the 175-180 pound range.

Over the past few months, during the recruiting process, Thompson has shown love to the Middle Tennessee State football program.

Below are a couple of his tweets.

As alluded to earlier, Thompson now gives MTSU seven known commitments for the 2020 class.

The rest of class includes:

- Andy Garcia

- Jalon Daniels

- Zoe Roberts

- Conner Griffin

- Parker Rogers

- Terry Fields

Below is Thompson's junior tape.
