Clint Marks had his best day of the season with 234 yards and 2 touchdowns. Marks threw for his 16th two hundred yard game as a Blue Raider.
Demarco McNair thought that the team would come out and perform better in the second half. He said that conditioning was the key in their victory against Louisiana Monroe.
"I think we were well conditioned," McNair told the Blue Raider Network.. "We always run after practice. In the fourth quarter, that's when you win the ball game. Any team can come out in the first half and win a ball game."
Mcnair enjoyed a career game as he rushed for 91 yards and 2 touchdowns. The rushing attack for the Blue Raiders gained 215 yards on 46 attempts. Eugene Gross finished with 100 yards on 21 carries.
The third running back Desmond Gee had his first career 100 yard receiving game with 6 catches for 109 yards on the day. This was a point that the coaches made during the off week that they were going to get the ball into the hands of their playmakers. Coach Stockstill said that he wanted the team to be able to get better offensively.
"We went out in the second half and had great confidence in our rushing and passing game," Stockstill told the Blue Raider Network. "We got a great play Desmond on the touchdown pass. "We were able to get them three and out, and the offense played well."
Middle Tennessee used some defensive players on offense, including Damon Nickson and Bradley Robinson. As Robinson had 2 catches for 30 yards. Coach Stockstill spoke to the Blue Raider Network about the addition of these players to the offense.
"Well, I'm not going to sit around and watch guys drop balls after a couple games," he said. "I got them out there. Bradley had a couple catches, and Desmond had a good game. We are not going to sit around hope guys start catching the ball. It's our job to get guys out there who we think has the best chance to win."
