2021 Valdosta, Georgia Wide Receiver has announced his commitment to Middle Tennessee. Sherman picked the Blue Raiders over offers from ECU, Memphis and West Virginia, among others.

Sherman had previously been committed to ECU but backed off that commitment in December.

"MTSU has always been in the picture. I was recently committed to ECU and I decommitted and MTSU came back on me. They’re willing to put me in the best position on the field and off. Coach Stock promised to take good care of me."

MT recently had a change at the WR coach position - Austin Silvoy moved on to Austin Peay and in came Brent Stockstill.

"I’ve talked to him every day since he was hired. I think very highly of him, with him playing at MTSU and knowing what it’s like to be a student-athlete there. It’ll be a great experience to play for him."

Sherman spoke with Tiger Sports Report, the Memphis Rivals site earlier this month:

What's his main factor before committing to a school?

"Whatever school that can put me in the best place where I can prosper in tough times like this (COVID) and with it being a short amount of time until signing day, will be the school that will get my commitment."
