Raiders still slotted in the GMAC Bowl, but this week the projected opponent is Ohio. Temple is now slotted for the International Bowl.

GMAC Bowl is alot of fun, I used to go often as a casual football fan when I lived in nearby in Pensacola, FL.

Looks like this has been updated....I wouldn't mind playing NIU

Wasn't NIU MT's first win over a 1A (back in the 1aa era)?

The GMAC bowl would be amazing to go to, especially since it's on January 6. If the Tennessean refuses to give us any coverage, that's cool, we'll just go with ESPN in a prime spot instead. :)

The Jan 6 slot would allow for a good 3 weeks worth of practice...this is important, its like having another spring practice before spring practice.

I'm still holding out that we'll have our head coach in January but I'm really concerned that this may be serious.

Doesn't worry me.

Memphis is a step down from MT in football. Thier support is horrible (worse than ours ever has been), the city is horrible, the facilities are way behind ours, they scrape by in a city that's recruited by every single SEC school, with a fan base that could care less about football.

Andy Mac left us some nice facilities, some decent talent, and a team that was, at worst, middle of the pack in its own conference. That program is way below even what we were when we hired Stock.

If Stock is looking to leave for greener pastures, then stick around here and continue to build on his success. Then leave for a SEC/ACC type school.

Not worried at all about Stock leaving for Memphis.

I'm not that worried that he might leave. However, I can't shake this feeling that if Memphis offers 600,000 (or more) and we can't match, he might follow the money...

I haven't met Stock, but from what I've read, he really seems like he wants to make MT his FSU project

if other schools want our coaches, its a good thing. not saying i want stock to leave if memphis offered but if the program gets to where we all want it then we might as well get ready because these types of things will come up every year

You could certainly understand why Memphis would be interested in at least talking to Stockstill.

Posted on 11/12 10:29 AM | IP: Logged

We all know West and Stock are friends. What do you think West would advise him to do?

Posted on 11/12 2:55 PM | IP: Logged

I'm guessing that West tells Stock to at least listen to what they have to say, but I don't think he will leave. On the other hand if they willing to pay him $$$ who know. I agree with the other post I think it's a good thing that Memphis is even looking at Stock...
