Senior Desmond Yates scored 21 points in the second half to help give Middle Tennessee a shot at a win over Missouri State on Wednesday night but the Blue Raiders fell 87-79 in the first round of the CollegeInsider.com Tournament.

After a disappointing ouster from the Sun Belt Tournament last week, MT will get a chance to end its season with a better taste in its mouth. The Blue Raiders were rewarded with a bid to the CIT on Sunday night and will hit the road in the first round on Wednesday night.
